POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Programs Manager, the Program Lead is responsible for providing Cause-Driven management and operations focused around family and youth programs. This position will include associate supervision, program development, program area facility management/maintenance, program optimization and fulfillment.  The Program Lead is also responsible for supporting, training, supervising, and leading their associate team in superior levels of member service and engagement.

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Lead family and youth programs at center level
  • Focus on quality experiences and engagement within programs, services, and activities
  • Support onboarding of new Associates
  • Foster an environment that is positive and motivating to families, children, and peers
  • Communicate with center leadership and Programs Manager to effectively coordinate and communicate facility usage for assigned programs
  • Ensure programs are staffed and planned accordingly
  • Engage and interact with children during programs
  • Obtain and prepare materials for each program
  • Work with Programs Manager to send out reminder emails to families who are registered for programs
  • Attend and actively participate in all meetings as assigned
  • Incorporate the four character values of the Y: Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility and adhere to the YCM Code of Conduct
  • Communicate the Y mission and objectives to the community
  • Enforce all policies and procedures
  • Assist in all other areas as assigned
