About This Role:

Veranex has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Project Manager. You will be part of a dynamic Research and Design team working to uncover opportunity and improve on existing products to better lives globally through medical technology innovation.  In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing and executing early-stage design research and product strategy projects in accordance with the client and research team goals. Translates high-level project requirements into an execution-ready plan and sees this plan through to final delivery and invoicing.  This role requires a balance of analytical thinking and effective execution and is ideal for individuals with high standards of delivery and a background in STEM, social sciences, or management consulting.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Working with the project team, translates proposal language into an execution-ready project plan that accounts for and details the deliverable scope, timelines, and budgets.
  • Acts as liaison with client to assure that project delivery requirements as specified in the project plan are met.
  • Facilitates the collaboration of cross-functional team members to optimize performance and minimize risk during project execution.
  • Tracks project scope, schedule, and budget as the team executes the project and adjusts planning detail as necessary.
  • Communicates project status against the project plan to client and internal stakeholders during the execution phase. Proactively identifies risks to status and discusses mitigation strategies with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Identifies and coordinates the engagement of partners / vendors to deliver on the project plan with a focus on participant recruitment.
  • Facilitates the completion of human research compliance processes and deliverables including, but not limited to, informed consent, IRB processing, participant remuneration, etc.

 

Qualifications

Required skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a social science or product development-related discipline
  • 2-4 years’ of relevant work experience in an innovation, strategy, or execution related role, or a combination of education and experience
  • Good knowledge of project management skills and processes
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with project team and client
  • Good ability to work in and lead cross-functional teams
  • Good ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects
  • Good communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of driving change and continuous improvement.

 

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in consulting services
  • Good knowledge of medical device development strategy standards
  • Good understanding of design and document controls, design verification and validation based on the needs of the project
  • Experience within a corporate innovation ecosystem
  • Experience in leading and mentoring teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
