Essence of the role (Role’s Purpose):
The Sales & Marketing Analyst will report directly to the Senior Sales & Marketing Manager within the Trade Marketing Department, a division of the Wholesale Marketing Team.  In this diverse role as the Trade Marketing Analyst, you will be working with and supporting the cross functional teams within our wholesale division: Brand, Marketing, Sales, Finance and Regulatory.  The goal of this position is to support the cross functional teams with utilizing the resources available to make strategic decisions to drive sales and profit for the company.   
Responsibilities will include creating, analyzing, and distributing weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports such as: customer profit reports, accrual liability trackers, & promotional analysis utilizing POS data.  Monthly sales meetings will be held between the Sales & Marketing Analyst  and the Sales teams to discuss customer promotional spend, performance and profit.  The Sales & Marketing Analyst  will be responsible to share the promotional results such as unit lift % from base volume and ROI, whereas strategic thinking will be needed to make recommendations for future promotional plans.  Quarterly meetings will be held by the Trade Marketing team and include the cross functional teams to discuss top customer current state of the business and sales strategies such as competitive insights, new item opportunities, and customer specific promotions and profit. 
Responsibilities will also include a focus on the Independent Sales team by helping to facilitate merchandising and advertising requests, managing price lists, account distribution lists, sales verse projection reporting, new store openings tracker, and assisting with entering sample orders into the fulfillment system. 
The Sales & Marketing Analyst  will also be hands-on with the facilitation of trade show coordination, working directly with outside vendors as well as the internal Marketing team, Sales VPs and Administrative Assistant to the Sales VP.  Responsibilities will include coordinating attendees, communicating artwork changes, show booth logistics, which may include packing and shipping of show materials to the show site and/or local warehouses.  Responsibilities will also include other Ad Hoc requests such as overseeing the internal SharePoint, as well as overseeing new item sales kits in conjunction with the Brand teams.  
   

Recipe for Success (Responsibilities):
•    Creating, analyzing, and distributing sales reports:  promotion analysis, accrual liability trackers, customer profit reporting.
•    Monthly sales meetings: responsible for managing your accounts/customers, review customer profit reports, spend and promotional analysis, being able to share feedback, strategies, and ideas with the end goal of driving sales and profit.  
•    Building quarterly customer strategy presentations working alongside Sales and Brand, fueling constructive conversation to understand retailer strategies, competition, and internal customer sales growth and profit.  
•    Working directly with Accounts Receivable in Finance on customer accrual liability trackers, whereas the customer spend is accurately being tracked and communicated for accrual purposes.  
•    Analyze weekly POS trends for assigned customers to measure promotional performance such as ROI and unit lift %.  Working with Sales to make recommendations on how to optimize future promotions based on the results and strategies.  
•    Managing and maintaining internal SharePoint portal for Sales and Marketing teams.  Responsible for making sure files are updated and necessary communications are sent.  
•    Managing the independent sales team reporting and coordination, such as new store openings, customer sales goals, merchandising and advertising requests and entering sample orders into the fulfillment system.


   

Ingredients Required (Qualifications):
•    Bachelors’ degree Business, Marketing, Communications
•    Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Advanced Excel skills are a must; Experience with SharePoint a plus
•    1-3 years in a Sales Support, Trade Marketing, Marketing Assistant role or past internships
•    Analytical and strategic mindset 
•    Proactive self-starter, strategic thinker
•    Attention to detail
•    Well-rounded individual with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and demonstrate agility in a fast-paced environment.
•    An ability to work cross-functionally with all levels of the organization and thrive in a team environment.
•    Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills
•    Must be comfortable being hands-on; packing materials and doing mailings, lifting approximately 30lbs
•    Familiarity with the CPG and/or supplement industry is a plus
