Lead Camp Counselor - Connections Camp

Lead camp staff in supporting children and teens ages 5-18 with high functioning autism as they learn new skills and make new friends throughout a 6-week summer day camp. Participants have fun as they learn to cope with challenges, manage emotions and build social and communicational skills.

As a Lead Camp Counselor you will plan and develop daily/weekly lesson plans, activities and field trips that align with the curriculum and provide for comprehensive experiences designed to foster the total growth and development of each child.

Camp runs from June 13th - July 25th at Barber National Institute and requires camp staff to be available all six weeks, Monday-Friday 8a.m. – 5p.m.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Bachelor’s degree in a human service field
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • Experience working with children
  • Eligibility for State Police Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse History Clearance
  • FBI clearance required for individuals who do not meet PA residency requirements
