Motivate is seeking a qualified Assistant Operations Manager to oversee bike repair and maintenance operations and inventory management for Washington DC’s bikeshare system. As an Assistant Operations Manager, you will be responsible for daily oversight, including tracking attendance, productivity, and quality control processes for all bike maintenance leads, as well as oversight of inventory. 

About the Role 

  • Develop scheduling and conduct daily management of bike technician leads
  • Full employee life-cycle, hourly union workforce people management 
  • Oversee routing of the field teams to complete field-based bike repairs and inspections
  • Conduct inventory audits and creates monthly inventory reports and records
  • Ensure deliveries are appropriately received, recorded, and stored, distributes inventory to managers and field staff
  • Ensure that safety-related and quality control processes are in place and followed 
  • Conduct metrics tracking, analyze results, and generate output reports 

About You 

  • You have prior experience with warehouse and/or repair operations, as well as previous inventory oversight experience 
  • You have previous supervisory experience for an hourly operations team, overseeing employees in a union environment and engaging for productivity and success 
  • You have experience working with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software systems
  • You are technology proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and can quickly learn new software 
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills with a wide range of audiences 
  • You are a self-starter, thrive in a fast paced, quickly changing environment with strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
