NATURE AND SCOPE
This position reports to BSA Officer. Performs day-to-day tasks to ensure Landmark’s compliance with Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Regulations. Works with BSA Lead and Analyst, under the direction of the BSA Officer, to administer the OFAC, BSA/AML Programs in accordance with Landmark’s policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal regulations. Conducts reviews of system-generated alerts, completes currency transaction report (CTR) reviews, conducts Monetary Instrument Log and Gift card Log reviews, and manages additional internal/external referrals as assigned.
 
REQUIREMENTS
1. High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 1 year of experience in BSA, AML, OFAC and/or Compliance or two years of experience working in a credit union, bank, or other financial services organization with direct exposure and familiarity of retail banking compliance programs. One year of internal experience working with Landmark services and products or equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
2. Basic knowledge of financial services products as well as a working knowledge of BSA, AML, and OFAC regulatory requirements.
3. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and possess strong analytical skills. Must have demonstrated ability to function in a variety of programs and systems as part of job responsibilities.
4. Experience using independent judgment and discretion in complex situations while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.
5. Proven experience in independently organizing work, balancing multiple priorities and managing a variety of individual and team projects in a high-volume work environment with strong attention to detail.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, and demonstrated ability to work across various departments and levels in an organization.
7. Must have a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures as they relate to the position. Must understand and comply with all job-related state and federal laws and regulations.
 
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Stays current with changes in applicable regulations and assists the BSA team with suggesting BSA Program revisions to the BSA Officer.
2. Reconciles and completes CTRs in the BSA/AML system.
3. Conducts Monetary Instrument Log (MIL) and Gift card Log reviews to identify trends and monitor for unusual activity to determine if the transactions are suspicious in nature.
4. Performs daily review, monitoring, and analysis of various surveillance systems, reports, logs, and transaction data to identify trends, unusual activity, and monitor large currency activity to determine if transactions are suspicious in nature.
5. Using Landmark’s Core member data platform, BSA/AML system, and other data sources, complete and document reviews and clearly disposition alerts accordingly.
6. Using Landmark’s BSA/AML system, perform and disposition OFAC alerts and notifies the BSA Officer regarding true matches immediately.
7. Assist with reviews of Landmark’s member and transaction records for compliance with FinCEN 314a.
8. Identifies and designates high-risk accounts based on information received from other sources and submits referrals to the Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) team for further dispositioning. Provides recommendations for periodic BSA training to address growth areas noted in BSA/AML, branch/lending or other internal procedures in support of annual BSA Program training.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.
