About this Leader:

The Vice President, Enterprise Architecture, AI and Emerging Technologies will lead enterprise architecture for EXL Health’s platforms and solutions. She/He will drive initiatives around AI and emerging technologies. This role will be looked upon as a senior technology leader and someone who champions innovation across the organization. Being an energized leader is a key ingredient to success in this role, with oversight of team performance in a highly collaborative environment-- where continuous feedback and support is not only fostered, its expected.

Ideally, this leader is a master at these:

  • Develop and update the Enterprise Technology strategy, architecture and technology roadmap including monitoring and evaluating future trends and business requirements.
  • Develop and update the Enterprise Architecture governance framework, policies, procedures and processes. Establish and ensure them to ensure consistency and quality across enterprise projects
  • Lead an innovation team of technologists– primarily focused on AI efforts, from ideas to minimum viable products and solutions. This will require close coordination with business leaders.
  • Evaluate emerging AI technologies and trends to inform the company’s technology roadmap. Work with other solution and technology leaders to drive each platform and solution technology roadmap.
  • Lead AI (including Generative AI) planning and development with deep knowledge of AI development stack and ability to assess and identify rapidly evolving technology landscape. Guide business leaders on emerging trends and our solutions roadmap.
  • Research and develop new technology, infrastructure and applications while evaluating applicability and alignment with the organization’s risk appetite, business requirements and design principles.
  • Provide expertise in infrastructure technology and software evaluation, selection, and implementation.
  • Work closely with the Cyber Security team, to ensure compliance with Cyber Security requirements and policies to safeguard the interests of our clients.
  • Identify and manage risks associated with the use of Enterprise Technology systems (in coordination with the Enterprise Risk Management team).
  • Work closely with product management, development, operations, and other teams to ensure seamless integration of architectural solutions.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders and foster a shared understanding of architectural decision.

 

To be successful, these are essential:

  • Healthcare industry experience
  • At least one Enterprise Architecture related certification: TOGAF 9 or Zachman (Certified Enterprise Architect)
  • Experience with HITRUST within a HITRUST certified entity.
  • Minimum of 15 years of hands-on experience in Software Engineering, AI solutions development and Enterprise Software Architecture
  • Minimum of 5 years holding an organizational leadership role in Enterprise Architecture or advanced technology
  • Demonstrated track record and expertise in architecting and realizing technical solutions that include Cloud solutions and AI solutions.
  • Experience and sound understand in using Generative AI technologies.

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to: location and experience. The base salary range listed is just one component of EXL's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include bonuses, as well as a Paid Time Off policy, and many region specific benefits.
