GENERAL SUMMARY

The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing a cross-functional team to deliver defined project outputs on time, within budget, and with quality results. The Sr. Project Manager has primary responsibility for defining, planning, tracking, and managing the enterprise project, for identifying key resources, and providing the direction they require in order to meet project objectives. 

The Sr. Project Manager will work closely with senior leaders to understand their business models.

The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for managing strategic, complex projects that span organizational boundaries. Serve as the primary point of contact for these high-profile projects, overseeing their successful execution from inception to final implementation. These projects will involve the management of external vendors, and multiple business units for defining, planning, tracking, and managing the enterprise project, for identifying key resources, and providing the direction they require in order to meet project objectives. Manages the overall direction, coordination, planning, execution, and completion of medium to large and complex, enterprise-level projects. Leads and drives the project to completion while ensuring consistency with company strategy and goals. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Manages multiple medium, large, and extra-large projects, independently.
  • Works with key stakeholders and project teams to manage multiple work streams and specific tasks and responsibilities on each work stream.
  • Develops detailed project management plans and identifies project task and deliverables to build a project schedule and roadmap.
  • Drives and manages the project according to plan to achieve the desired objectives and delivers the approved scope on-time, within budget, and with the expected quality.
  • Participates in building business case justifications for projects, including financial analysis, cost/benefit analysis, and definition of appropriate performance metrics to measure project success and benefits, including current state benchmarking and post Go-Live benefit realization measurement.
  • Supports and manages RFI/RFP process as appropriate, providing support and adherence to best practices for vendor assessment, scoring methodologies, and presentation of solution options.
  • Manages the project to ensure project scope and execution align with the business case and benefit objectives. Manages and controls the project budget, responsible for total project cost projections.
  • Proactively identifies, anticipates, and documents potential risks, issues, blockers, or changes to project scope. Assertively and creatively removes obstacles that slow down or prevent projects from delivering against project objectives, including active management of vendor resources and deliverables (as required).

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:    
•    Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university strongly preferred.

Experience:  
•    Minimum of 5 year’s project management experience in financial services.

Skills/Ability: 
•    Excellent working knowledge of various Project Life Cycle Methodologies. 
•    Excellent knowledge of financial /business systems. 
•    Ability to manage across support divisions and multiple projects at one time. 
•    Excellent negotiation skills and interpersonal skills. 
•    Strong verbal and written communications skills. 
•    Project communication around escalation/issues working with Division executives. 
•    Drive and partner with third party application vendors on projects. 

OTHER DETAILS

$100K – $120K / year 
Pay determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
