Registered Nurse - RN - Telephone Triage - Full Time - Evenings

JOB TITLE: Registered Nurse - Telephone Triage                                      

CLASSIFICATION: Full Time, Non-Exempt

PROGRAM/DEPARTMENT:  Central Nursing                                  

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:  Nursing Support Manager                                         

POSITION SUMMARY:  Ensures appropriate medical care is provided to individuals we support by working cooperatively with fellow RN’s to perform skilled nursing duties. Provides direction and assistance to direct support professionals. Provides clinical oversight to med certified staff in medication administration and communicates and enforces medical policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Education, Training & Experience:
Current New York State Registered Nurse license

Preferred Education, Training & Experience:
One (1) year nursing experience

Experience working with people with developmental disabilities and/or mental health diagnoses

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Valid New York State driver’s license that meets the Agency’s driving policy and reliable transportation
Ability to work flexible, non-traditional hours and be responsive to on-call demands 
Ability to demonstrate empathy and sensitivity to the physical and psychological needs of the people we support
Effective communication orally and in writing
Ability and willingness to provide effective instruction and demonstration to staff

SALARY:
$34-$40 per hour depending on years Licensed
$7,500.00 sign on bonus paid over 2 years

SCHEDULE:

Monday-Friday 3pm-11pm or 4pm-12am

Possibility of working remotely after successful completion of 90 day probationary period
