Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Head of Accounts Receivable & Billing to lead and support our billing and accounts receivable teams at Tes. The ideal candidate will ensure the seamless execution of the order-to-cash cycle in alignment with our business's standard terms and conditions. With a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and timely resolution, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our financial processes and mitigating risks.
Primary Objectives
- Manage and support the billing and accounts receivable teams to ensure adherence to business standard terms and conditions.
- Resolve customer queries promptly to facilitate timely cash collection in line with T&C's.
- Oversee customer billing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in invoice issuance.
- Provide comprehensive reporting to the Group, including cash collection performance, aged debtor analysis, and risk management of customer credit limits.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the credit controllers and billing administrators, overseeing accounts receivable ledgers for the Group.
- Drive process improvements to enhance the Group's ageing profile and operational efficiency.
- Monitor customer credit limits vigilantly, highlighting potential risks to the Group.
- Collaborate closely with sales and customer operations teams to address customer queries effectively.
- Partner with the financial reporting team to establish regular reports for informed decision-making.
- Establish and track monthly cash collection targets, fostering a culture of accountability within the team.
- Maintain low levels of outstanding debt across the Group through proactive debt management strategies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in an Accounts Receivable management role.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in managing a team effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Confidence in reporting to senior stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations.
- Desirable: Accreditation from the Chartered Institute of Credit Management (CICM).
