POSITION SUMMARY:

 

This position is responsible for the daily pulling, assembly, calibration, testing and cross-checking of actuators, valves, accessories and automated assemblies for shipment to end users. The employee will work closely with the Operations and Production Managers and Assembly/Machine Shop Supervisor. They will ensure sales orders and return of merchandise authorizations are pulled, assembled and/or checked per the sales order or RMA specifications, thus, meeting and/or exceeding customer expectations.

 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Pulls stock from current inventory to fill sales order/RMA schedule provided by the Assembly/Machine Shop Supervisor.

 

A.         Maintains intimate working knowledge of current A-T Controls product line through scheduled training per ISO 9001:2015 Processes and Procedures Manual.

 

B.         Notifies Operations, Production Manager or Assembly/Machine Shop Supervisor if a non-conforming product is found when processing a sales order or RMA.

 

C.         Fills out an Inventory Adjustment Form when a specific inventory item quantity is found to be different from sales order quantity and submits to Operations, Production Manager or Assembly/Machine Shop Supervisor.

 

    • Assembles, tests, and calibrates A-T product to fulfill sales orders and RMA’s.                                                             

 

  1. Notifies Operations Manager or appropriate sales person of sales order items that may be improperly structured.

 

  1. Interfaces with other Valve Automation Technicians to cross check each sales order prior to shipment. Thus, ensuring each sales order meets A-T internal procedure requirements i.e. tagging and stamping.

 

  1. Interfaces with Shipping Clerk to verify sales orders and RMA’s meet or exceed customer delivery requirements. This may entail assisting in packing or crating, when required, to meet delivery.

 

    • Stocks incoming inventory shipments as necessary to ensure proper placement per Assembly/Machine Shop Supervisor’s schedule.

 

A.         Notifies Operations Manager or Assembly/Machine Shop Supervisor of any non-conforming product found while stocking inventory.

 

  1. Places paper tag on non-conforming product and places in A-T non-conforming product staging area.

 

C.         Notifies Operations Manager or Assembly/Machine Shop Supervisor of any discrepancies between packing slip and actual inventory.

 

  • Interfaces with Purchasing Agent and fills out Materials Requisition Form to ensure proper inventory levels are available on basic supplies such as fasteners, hoses, tubing, inserts and associated fittings.

 

  • Perform other duties as necessary or instructed.

 

EXPERIENCE/SKILL SET/TRAINING:

  • 2+years of related work experience.

 

  • Intermediate training and experience in assembly, calibration and testing of A-T product line.

 

  • Good oral and written communication skills.

 

  • Meet annual training requirements per A-T Controls ISO 9001:2015 quality program.

 

  • Basic set of tools necessary to fulfill job description duties.

 

  • Physically capable of picking up and moving items up to 85 pounds.

 

  • Good working knowledge of tow motor operation and safety practices.
