Job Summary:  

The Senior Director of Quality ensures that the organization’s products and services comply with divisional company quality requirements, as well as customer and regulatory standards. They have ultimate authority over final product integrity and are responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company standards. The Sr. Director of Quality oversees internal and external quality audits across the company, manages the Quality Management Software program, and ensures accountability for all policies and procedures within the PVI Divisional Quality Management System (QMS).

 

Organizational Relationships:

  • Reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer.
  • Directly manages Divisional Corporate Quality Management Teams.
  • Indirectly oversees all quality control personnel.
  • Collaborates with various departments (Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, Customer Service, Business Execution, Commercial) that impact product and service quality.

 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develops, implements, and strictly adheres to PVI Divisional quality programs.
  • Reviews and establishes standards, policies, and procedures related to product production.
  • Drives continuous improvement in companywide metrics, including Rolled Throughput Yield (RTY), Defects Per Million Opportunities (DPMO), and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
  • Manages PVI QMS work instructions and procedures to promote best practices across branches.
  • Evaluates and mentors Quality Department employees.
  • Ensures consistent and effective quality auditing through Internal Quality Auditors’ training.
  • Drives improvement in Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and Customer Complaint reports using Quality Management Software (Intelex).
  • Provides companywide training on quality processes, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Corrective Action Reporting (CAR).

Positional Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience:
    • Applicable ASQ Certifications
    • LSS Black Belt
    • Applicable ISO Certifications
    • Industrial valve/actuator OEM factory-authorized training certificates (preferred)
    • Proficient in applicable ASME, API, ISO, CFR, DWG, ANSI, and NBIC Codes and Regulations
    • Minimum 10 years of industry experience
    • B.S. in Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Skills & Abilities:
    • Highly organized and detail-oriented
    • Effective influencer and leader
    • Strong interpersonal, communication, technical, and presentation skills
    • Ability to travel and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Essential Physical Functions:
    • Travel: Less than 50%
    • Ability to bend, stoop, walk, and stand for up to 75% of the shift
