Summary:   Manages sales activities of organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the followingOther duties may be assigned.   

  • Maintains and grows existing assigned accounts in Canada. Direct calling effort on all existing contacts and customers as part of the Canada team 

  • Work with the Canadian sales team on sales growth in existing and new accounts including the offshore segment.  

  • Visit and learn the Canadian market (Newfoundland, Eastern, Central, and West) segments to help develop the future strategy for this region. Develop a deep understanding of the market, owners, operators and competitors. 

  • Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals. 

  • Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly. 

  • Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates. 

  • Visit customer’s vessels for ship survey purposes as required 

  • Advises dealers, distributors, and clients concerning sales and advertising techniques. 

  • Analyzes sales statistics to formulate policy and assist dealers in promoting sales. 

  • Directs product simplification and standardization to eliminate unprofitable items from sales line. 

  • Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product. 

  • Delivers sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives. 

  • Meets with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals. 

  • Coordinates liaison between sales department and other sales related units. 

  • Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion. 

  • Involved with product research and development. 

  • Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition. 

  • Maintains W&O CRM with current information on existing and potential customers and industry contacts. 

  • Work with Branch Operations staff to ensure that customers requirements and concerns are relayed to staff and met.  

  • Participate in ISO 9001 processes 

  • Interact with General Manager Canada and team on a daily basis

Qualifications:

Education/Experience: 

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

 

Language Ability: 

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulationsAbility to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manualsAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. 

 

Math Ability: 

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. 

 

Reasoning Ability:

Computer Skills:  

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Inventory software; Order processing systems; Manufacturing software and Contact Management systems.
