224-1, CNC Programmer 1, 3rd Shift

WORK ENVIRONMENT — Must be willing and able to work in an environment exposed to elements that can include but are not limited to coolant, dust, mist, elevated noise, and uncontrolled temperatures.
 

• Read blueprints
• Work within a CAD software
• Program using offline software such as Master CAM or Esprit
• Load programs and set up tools in a machine
• Select proper tools for machining parts
• Use and understand gaging
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with 6S procedures, rules, and regulations
• Ability to stop the production line and/or prevent shipment of products due to nonconformance or potential nonconformance products to our customers
• Support the environmental policy with proactive process implementation, improvement suggestions, reducing waste, and acting on environment performance results and findings

SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Ability to set up CNC machines
• Ability to look at a GD&T print to determine the tooling needed
• Ability to program computer numerical control CNC milling and turning machines using ISO/EIA G & M code programming
• Understanding of how to manually edit programs
• Troubleshooting abilities
• Establish, maintain, and foster cooperative working relations with others in a team environment

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

 Education: Associate’s Degree preferred
 Experience: Minimum of two years of related experience; Minimum of three axis programming; five axis is a plus

 Computer Skills:  Must demonstrate computer literacy; Understanding of CAD/CAM Software, Virtual Gibs, Solid Works, etc. preferred
 Certificates & Licenses: Valid Driver’s License required; CNC programming certification preferred
 Other Requirements: Ability to be on call should problems arise outside of normal work hours
