POSITION SUMMARY Design and implement efficient processes that meet customer requirements to produce high quality products on time utilizing Lean principles. The position interfaces with all areas and departments of the company and responsible for executing manufacturing processes engineering projects including, but not limited to safety, capital, capacity, tooling productivity, and quality. WORK ENVIRONMENT — Must be willing and able to work in an environment exposed to elements that can include but are not limited to coolant, dust, mist, elevated noise, and uncontrolled temperatures.


 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



  • Lead and develop process design to support successful implementation of new program launches, production improvements, and other projects

  • Ensure project deliverables are met within specified timeframe including resource allocation, prioritizing team assignments, and solving project hindrances

  • Initiate and propose business cases for capital expenditures and cost justification for project related investments

  • Create and maintain Process Flow Diagrams and Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis with emphasis on process control and special process characteristics

  • Create and maintain production and area floor and plant layouts and area planning and setup

  • Review product design, drawings, validation testing, Customer Specific Requirements, BOM's, etc. to ensure Design for Manufacturability

  • Perform capacity planning and Run-at-Rate studies

  • Create, develop, and maintain new equipment, tooling, and test equipment development, list, instruction, and signoff

  • Understand capabilities of equipment to ensure design and customer requirements are achieved

  • Create and maintain Work Instructions

  • Conduct troubleshooting and problem-solving activities related to quality and process issues

  • Ability to stop the production line and/or prevent shipment of products due to nonconformance or potential nonconformance products to our customers

  • Support the environmental policy with proactive process implementation, improvement suggestions, reducing waste, and acting on environment performance results and findings

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS


 


Education: Associate’s Degree preferred; Five or more years of experience in related position may be considered to waive this requirement


Experience: Three or more years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment preferred


Computer Skills: Must demonstrate computer literacy; Proficient using Microsoft Office; Experience with 2D/3D design suites
