This position is responsible for supporting CNX Production Operations team.  Will provide a data driven approach to improving efficiencies, maximizing production and lowering operational expenses.  The Production Tech will be an integral member within the Production Operations team that supports all phases of production. Knowledge in all phases of well production including high rate/high pressure unconventional production, artificial lift and other oil and natural gas production methods are necessary in this position.

 

 

Target Responsibilities:

  • 90% office, 10% field duties.

  • Understand and comply with all appropriate company policies and government regulations.
  • Provide technical support in all phases of Production Operations activities.
  • Perform advanced assignments supporting the production group using data driven decisions.
  • Create innovative solutions to collect data and process it into meaningful information.
  • Build, maintain and improve production databases, dashboards and reports.  Work closely with internal groups to ensure data accuracy.
  • Track operational expenses by area and notify owners if GL budgets are exceeded. 
  • Work with the Operations Technology team to create the Production Operations OpEx daily cost tracking process.    
  • Assist with OpEx and CapEx budgeting and quarterly roll-ups.  Work closely with all regions within Production Operations to gather monthly forecasted costs and details.  Provide Q over Q and Y over Y variance details.
  • Develop and manage the Production Operations schedule. Coordinate with departments weekly to ensure schedule is up to date and all supporting documentation is included. 
  • Work closely with all Production field personnel to improve efficiencies of data capture and accuracy for improved data evaluation. 
  • Provide production related information and data to all departments as requested.  Develop a process to standardize information requests from all departments.
  • Support engineering team on failure and downtime tracking and other data needs.
  • Analyze all LDAR failure data.  Understand trends and provide solutions to reduce or eliminate failures.
  • Assist team with all regulatory reporting requirements and provide recommendations to streamline processes. 

Minimum Requirements:

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering or Computer/Data Science.
  • Must possess advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Must have experience manipulating and performing analytics on large data sets.
  • Must be self-motivated, driven to deliver results and require minimal follow-up on project timelines and completion.
  • Strong planning, organizational and written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to safely operate a company vehicle.
  • Willingness and ability to work in field conditions year-round.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Oil and Gas Production Operations experience preferred. 
  • Dry & Wet Marcellus, Utica and coal bed methane production experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Power BI / Spotfire / Python, Cygnet, WellView, and SiteView preferred.
